Privacy Policy

Effective September 25, 2026

Reading Alive is an interactive story app: you make choices and AI writes and illustrates the next scene. This policy explains what we collect, why, and who we share it with. We do not sell your data, show ads, or track you across other apps or websites.

What we collect

How we use it

Only to run the app: to generate and save your stories, keep your token balance, restore your purchases, keep content safe (including automated safety checks on actions you type), respond to reports and support requests, and fix problems.

Who we share it with

We share the minimum needed with service providers that run parts of the app for us:

We may also disclose information if required by law.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your data while you have an account. You can delete it at any time in the app under Account → Delete account. This permanently removes your story progress, unspent tokens, purchase records and Sign in with Apple link. Reports you sent are kept without any link to you so we can continue to keep the app safe. We also keep a one-way fingerprint of your Apple ID (which cannot be turned back into the ID) together with which free Short Stories it has used, so free stories can't be claimed again by deleting and recreating an account. Server logs are deleted automatically by our hosting provider.

Children

Reading Alive is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has used the app, contact us and we will delete their data.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update this page and its effective date.
